Canberra Circle of Women are a completely voluntary unfunded community organisation which works both locally and globally to reduce period poverty, increase the uptake of education and reduce infant mortality. We work in Canberra with our most vulnerable Canberrians and Australia wide with our First Nations People. We achieve this through a range of programs, supports and assistance to reduce poverty:
- Reusable Period products: Reduces period poverty through the production and distribution of Luna Kits, education on reproductive health and breaking stigma about periods
- Learning Circle: Supports education for children to keep them in school, providing education materials such as stationery items
- Sewing & Knitting Circles: Sews and knits clothing for children
- Provision of bras to girls and women for health and dignity, supporting new mothers with clothing and supplies.
